The Hajj, a pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca, located in
Saudi Arabia, is an obligation to be fulfilled for every Muslim at least once
in his life, provided he satisfies a certain number of requirements.
Instituted by God, the pilgrimage to Mecca is the
fifth pillar of Islam as described in the Qur'an.
The pilgrimage to the Meccan is one of the most eminent
things of Islam and is obligatory for any person responsible (moukallaf), free
and who has the capacity.
It is the same for the oumrah (Umrah). It is therefore
a duty to do them once in a lifetime and it is recommended to repeat them
several times.
The pilgrimage to Mecca has a favor, that of being an
expiation for great sins as well as for small sins in accordance with the
divine word.

Conditions to be fulfilled to make the pilgrimage to Mecca or Umrah.
Several conditions must be fulfilled in order to be
able to make the pilgrimage to Mecca. There are four of them.
1. Being a Muslim Indeed, to the extent that the intention
in the heart is what validates our actions, a person not believing in God and
in Islam can not see "his pilgrimage" validated.
2. To be in full possession of one's mental abilities.
A person suffering from madness, behavioral disorders, is not obliged to make
the pilgrimage to Mecca.
3. Have reached the age of puberty (majority), whether
in men or women. Since the child has no responsibility to assume the
responsibility of the adult, it is not obligatory for him to perform the
pilgrimage. That said, nothing prevents him from going there with his parents
for example.
4. Have the physical and financial means to accomplish
it. A person who does not have a state of health allowing him to make the
pilgrimage is not obliged to perform it.

must not forget the family for which he is responsible and contact

Hajj is a religious obligation, every Muslim has an
obligation to do it at least once in his life if it is possible.
Umrah is a recommended sunnah that is not obligatory
and can be done at any time of the year.
